First Lady Artencie Plair

Artencie Plair was born in St Louis, MO in the year 1926, on November thirteenth, to parents William Henry Seldon, Sr. and wife Penny Seldon. Her siblings are the late William Henry Seldon, Jr., the late Matilda Seldon and the late Mattie Pritchard. Artencie Seldon married Ezell Plair, Jr. on March 15, 1946. Their marriage endured the tests of time and were married 68 years until the Lord called Ezell Jr. home on February 11, 2014. Together they had six wonderful children, 3 sons and 3 daughters: Doris Jean Plair Mitchell (late Clifford), late William Matthew Plair (Deloris), Pastor Alexander Plair I (Patricia Ann), Superintendent F. Joseph Plair Sr. (Linda), District Missionary Janice Plair Brown (Deacon Fenner L.), Veronica Plair Baymon (Assistant Pastor, Vernon L.). On Thursday, March 17, 2016 at sunrise, Mother Artencie Plair departed this life peacefully. She leaves to cherish her memory her 5 surviving children, 24 grand-children, 24 great grandchildren, 3 great, great grandchildren and all who graced by her presence. On the morning Artencie was called home there was a stirring in the spiritual kingdom. The trumpet sounded and His servant was on her way home. Adorned with a meek and quiet spirit which in the sight of God is of a great price, prepared his daughter for a special promise he had only whispered long ago. A Glorified existence, streets paved with gold and the presence of perfect eternity. Angels rejoicing children playing and her husband, Elder Ezell Plair Jr. awaiting her arrival. "For she shall not much remember the days of her life; because God answereth her in the joy of her heart" (Ecclesiastes 5:20) Sealed to the inheritance of the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords her presence was chosen for such a time as this. Those that remain in this earthly realm must understand that it was better for her to leave so that We, may have the opportunity to bare the fruit of life to those who are yet lost. It requires a person of great faith and bravery to live a life full of the promises of God. Artencie was gentle, pure in heart and one of these persons. She understood the wealth of wisdom and the power of prayer. She has now challenged us to be brave, to arise, to contend, to conquer, to forgive, to joy and to love ourselves and others unconditionally. Some questions we have about Artencie may always be a mystery, however, if you are questioning how she was able to speak with the tongues of men and of angels, her ability to understand every word declared by God concerning faith and impossibilities; Feeding the poor, sacrifice, How she obtained the gift to suffer long with all manner of kindness; Her ability to rejoice for the blessings of others, thought no evil, rejoiced in truth, bared all things, believed all things, hoped all things, endured all things; By Gods love she never failed. I hope this gives you peace. Her quiet strength and mesmerizing smile all came from a very special place within. She found the secret place that we all long for.
