Mrs. Cora B. ("Becky")Treadwell

Cora B. Treadwell’s, (“Becky”), sunset was December 11, 2011 to join her loving husband Elder Eugene “Monty” Treadwell, who she met in Marion, IN in 1973. Reverend Dr. M.W. Wright united them in holy matrimony on September 3, 1983 at Second Baptist Church in Kalamazoo, MI. Cora B. Treadwell, “Becky”, was born August 6, 1952 to Nathaniel Sr. and Isabella Johnson. Her parents precede her in death, in addition to her husband Elder Eugene “Monty” Treadwell; her first husband, James Harry Hunter Sr.; oldest daughter, Janice Johnson; sister, Ernestine Hooks; and 4 brothers: L.C., Elbert, Nathaniel Jr. and Albert Johnson. Cora gave her life to the Lord at Second Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Dr. M.W. Wright. She later joined Lively Stone Apostolic Church of God, and she was one of the many sheep under the Sheppard of Pastor Hazel D. Davis at Seed of Faith. Cora joined Progressive Deliverance Ministries Church of God in Christ with her husband and was under the leadership of Superintendent Greg Jennings Sr. After her husband passed away March 16, 2008, Cora frequently attended Mt. Zion Baptist Church where Dr. Addis Moore is Pastor. Becky leaves to cherish in her memory: 2 daughters, Teresa Hunter and Monica (Anthony) Campbell; 3 sons: James Harry Hunter Jr. (Ollie M. Johnson), Montio (Tekeyla Hawkins) and Kory (Sophia) Treadwell; 3 sisters, Adell Tucker, Pearline (Tucker) Wright and Ernestine Tucker all of St. Louis, MO, and Aline (Tucker) Day of Elizabethtown, KY; 4 brothers: James Tucker of New Madrid, MO; Johnny Tucker of Las Vegas, NV; Eddie V. Johnson of Muncie, IN and Robert Lee Johnson of KY; 1 sister in-law, Linda “Sue” (Sam) Black; 2 brother in-laws, Rodney Piatt & Grover Treadwell Sr. Becky also raised, 4 grandchildren after her daughter Janice, passed away, and who she leaves to cherish as well: Darmesha, Morgan, and Damario Stewart and Deonta Johnson. She also leaves to cherish: her grandchildren, Clifford Jackson Jr., Jamar & Jamion Jackson, Romney, Rashad, Kimyetta and Charmanie Hunter, Janice & Sade’ Campbell, Montario and Montrevion Hawkins, Kory Treadwell Jr., and Makayla Treadwell, 2 goddaughters, Debra and KeeVonna Johnson and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Becky and Monty touched several children lives who they have treated as their own. Although this endeavor, one of many of “Life Journey’s”, was sudden, Becky remained “Prayed up”. Whoever she encountered or met, she made a lasting impression of generosity, humbleness, a strong sense of her character by always ending each conversation and gathering with, “ I Love You”.
