Mr. Gerald Jerome Crawford Sr.

****NOTE: Visitation & Funeral Service Times and Location Listed Below**** Gerald Jerome Crawford Sr. was called home on October 16, 2019 in South Bend, Indiana. He was born December 30, 1967 in Kalamazoo, Michigan, the third child out of four children born to Tommie Crawford and Bertie (Lawton) Crawford. Gerald was raised on Union Street, where he still has life long friendships with all of his childhood friends. He attended Kalamazoo Public Schools and graduated from Loy Norrix High School. He enjoyed sports like boxing and karate. After high school was employed in many capacities but was considered a jack-of-all-trades. He accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized in the year 2000 at Fresh Fire A.M.E. Church in Kalamazoo. He relocated to South Bend, Indiana with his wife and family and was a member of Rhema Word International. Gerald is most known for his laughter, jokes and the genuine love he showed with his loyalty and passion for his family and friends. Gerald was a people-person and anyone who came in contact with him attached to him instantly for life. He loved dancing and fashion which both were a passion of his. Gerald will be greatly missed by all. Gerald is preceded in death by his father, Tommie Crawford; his brother Tommie Crawford Jr.; grandmothe4, Lucille Crawford and one uncle, Derrick Crawford. Gerald is survived by his wife, LaRhonda Crawford; his mother Bertie Crawford (Rommie Ware); 9 children, Gerald Jr. (grandchildren: Gerald 3, Shanaya, Geramiah) Bruce (grandchildren: Bruce Jr. and Terrell) Antwann, Jeremy, JaMarr (“Jammer”), Jamarr Jr., Te’Aria (grandson Peyton), Ke’Aria (grandson Ke’Shon), Iesha (granddaughter Amilia), and Nina; 1 brother, Kennard Crawford; 3 sisters, Tennice (Ronald) Crawford; Tameka (James) Robinson; Ramona (Royce) Farmer; 3 uncles: Irving Wright, Bruce Crawford and Michael Crawford; 1 aunt, Pastor Bobette Hampton (Evangelist John Hampton); 2 nieces, Ronnice and JaVonna Logan: 4 nephews, Jamarr and Martell Lewis and Jeffery and Jerrell Salis; a special cousins: Bishop Steven Reed of South Bend, IN; Archie Bynum, Kimmy Cooper and David Morris; along with special friends, Benny Russell (“Zo”); Willie Gaines; BJ Williams of South Bend, IN; Clifford Jackson and Earnest Benjamin. Also, a host of other relatives and friends.
