Mrs. Lynda R. Roseman

Lynda Ruth Roseman was born on May 23, 1949 in Jackson, Mississippi to Percy and Bernice Paige. She was preceded in death by her mother, Bernice Paige in 2009. Lynda accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Greater Christ Baptist Church in Detroit, Michigan. She was educated in the Detroit Public Schools and graduated from Southeastern High School in 1967. Lynda was the second eldest of 6 siblings: Curtis, Kaye, Cheryl, Rida and Keith (preceded her in death). Lynda was joined in Holy Matrimony on August 23, 1969 to her best friend and childhood sweetheart Frank Donald Roseman III. She was preceded in death by Frank in October 2011. To this union was born three children, Sonja Renee, Frank Donald and Keith Daniel. Lynda loved to travel and thanks to Frank’s military career they were able to experience the world together. Lynda dedicated her life to maintaining a stable loving home as a military family. Lynda was a sophisticated lady who enjoyed the finer things in life. She taught her children to never take life for granted and to enjoy all that life had to offer. She had a truly special relationship with her mother, and was often teased by her siblings as being the favorite. She didn’t mind that, but you had better not introduce her as the “oldest” sister. Lynda loved her family and looked forward to family gatherings. She loved to laugh and lived her life to the fullest. Upon her retirement from Michigan Bell, she put her creative skills to work by taking upholstery classes. She also found great joy in perfecting the craft of “sisterlocks”, and she built a clientele of individuals that she formed long lasting friendships with. Lynda possessed a warm soul and a generous heart, and she touched the lives of many. Often if someone admired something she owned she would give it to them on the spot. Lynda departed this life on Saturday May 18, 2013 at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo, MI. She leaves to cherish her memories: her father, Percy; her children, Sonja, Frank & Keith; eight grandchildren, Janelle, Jaila, Joshua, Jerome, Dont’e, Kyla, Nikela and Frank; one brother, Curtis; three sisters, Kaye, Cheryl and Rida, her god brother Roland and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and loved ones.
