Ms. Kerisha Rae Ezell

Ms. Kerisha Rae Ezell was called to her Eternal Home, August 14, 2010, in Laytonville, CA. She was born August 2, 1990 in Kalamazoo, MI, the daughter of Tonnia Keyser and Richard ("Rick") L. Ezell. She attended Bloomingdale Elementary School in Michigan. She later moved to California at the age of eleven and attended Baechtel Grove Middle School in CA. She also attended Manton High School, in Manton, MI and went on to continue her high school education at Laytonville High School in Laytonville, CA. Kerisha loved playing sports, which included volleyball and basketball. She excelled in both and received many awards, which included achievement awards in displaying excellent sportsmanship. Kerisha also had a passion for dancing. She enjoyed popular hip-hop dances as well as studying ballet. She set several goals for herself which included completing high school (she was one credit away from having her high school degree), going to college and attending Julliard School for Dance. Friends and family were also very important to her. She talked a lot about keeping her family together. She was very protective of the ones she loved--her family, her siblings, and also her many friends. Kerisha had a magnetic personality and anyone who met her was drawn to her. She had a great sense of humour and she was very quick-witted. You wouldn't be able to get anything past her! Kerisha was also a very kind-hearted polite, sensitive young woman, who loved children. She was very patient with children and seemed to understand them, no matter how small. She didn't mind babysitting and spending time will all children, teaching them to paint or draw, dance or just to spend time playing with them. Kerisha will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her. She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents: Frederick Keyser and Virginia Keyser. She leaves to cherish her memories; mother, Tonnia Keyser; father, Richard (“Rick”) Ezell; 2 brothers, Rick Ezell Jr. and Dallas Ezell; and sister Kalla Ezell; paternal grandmother, Cherie Ezell and paternal grandfather, Richard Ezell; aunts: Angelina Baumgartner, Tammy Knapp, Kasha Hillard, Vita Pike, Gaelen Fields and Cherise Juarnez; uncles: Ralph Baumgartner, Joe Hillard, Mike Pike, Aseph Martin and Sid Juarnez; Cousins: Steven Tyler, Danielle Peebles, TJ Peebles, Samantha Hillard, Madison Hillard, Lance Pike, Lynette Pike, Lauren Pike, Ashley Bouidette, and Tianwna Corriveau. Also, many special friends.
