Mr. Christopher Warren Walden

****NOTE: The Family of Christopher Warren Walden are planning a private celebration of his life at a later date. ___________________________ THE OBITUARY Christopher Walden, who preferred to go by Chris was born in Kalamazoo, MI on March 3rd, 1957. He rested peacefully at Metro Health on March 27th, 2023, at the age of 66 in Wyoming, MI, with his children and son-in-law by his side. Chris attended Hackett high school and always had a passion for music. Chris was his own man, He stayed in his own lane and moved on his terms. Chris later took the career path of long-haul truck driving for 23 years. Chris was the son of Harold Walden and (deceased) Mother Marguerite “Peggy” Walden. He’s survived by three siblings: Narada Michael (wife, Katie); Yolanda (husband, Tory); Edie (husband, Alan). Chris Walden and Annette Toney were married on June 18, 1983. They were married for 39 years. Survived by four children: Krishana Walden; Christopher Walden; Wesley Walden; Melissa Wheeler (husband, Chris). As well as twelve grandchildren: Anthony Walden; Aniya Anderson; Aliyah Anderson; Jamon Rhea; Nevaeh Walden; Christopher Walden; Tiana Walden; Christian Walden; Cashis Walden; Ezekiel Wheeler; Bethany Wheeler; Aurora Wheeler. Chris was also loved by so many nieces and nephews. Chris is preceded in death by one grandchild, Anthony Walden, Mother Marguerite “Peggy” Walden and two brothers, Ronald Walden, and Kevin Walden. Dad was quite a character. He was fun, silly, wild, and spontaneous. A memory as told by his oldest daughter, Krishana “He was the first man to love me unconditionally. I remember when he took us to Sea World in California and Cedar Point and how much fun we had.” Oldest Son, Christopher “ One time dad and I got kicked out of a casino because I was too young and on the floor, I had to go find him.” Youngest daughter, Melissa “I remember watching him play the drums. He looked so happy, and I could feel his joy.” “Chris and I would have date night and eat banana cream pie and coffee. We also had a wonderful time taking a trip to Big Sur and Carnel in California.” As told by wife Annette Walden. Christopher Warren Walden was many things, but what he as most was a man who tried his hardest. He loved his family, he loved all of us in his own way the best way he knew how. He didn’t leave this earth alone. He was flooded with love and good works. Dad felt all the love and was happy and now at peace. Chris moved through life to his own rhythm and will be deeply missed. -You will always be our Peace Run-
