Mr. Diljuan Lamont Walker

Diljauan Lamont Walker, known to many as “Big Weez” or “Wiggi”, or whichever character you encountered throughout his years. He was a beloved Husband, Father, Brother, Son, Uncle, and Grandfather to all that knew him. On May 9, 1974, Diljuan L. Walker entered this world to Donald Fry and Eleanor Walker. It was such a special day, because he shared this great day with his uncle, “Big William”, who automatically became his “Godfather”. Diljuan was a rambunctious person and life of the clan. He was also affectionately known as "Skin Flint”, a name given to him by his aunt Diane. Diljuan attended Kalamazoo Public Schools and received his GED in 1994. He was employed at Arvco Containers for many years. He was also an inspiring author and rapper who was taking steps to publish books he wrote, especially one called “Mama, Don’t Cry”. Mr. Walker left this life on February 28, 2017 on the birthday of his beloved aunt Cherie Walker. Diljuan is gone, but will never be forgotten. He touched the hearts of all that were blessed to get to know the true, “Diljuan”. His presence, spiritual advice, street knowledge and advice and headaches of our beloved “problem child” will be greatly missed. He is leaving us with wonderful memories and a bond with each and everyone. He is preceded in death by his great grandmother, Orene Phillips; his grandparents, Roy and Queen Fry; and Dorothy Walker; his beloved father, Donald “Pumpkin” Fry, his uncle, “Big” William Hollin; aunts, Cherie Walker, Lenora Phillips (also known as “Jean” and a special friend, brother Shawn Labarre. Surviving him are his special wife, Shiriky; and the apple of his eye, his daughter, Dashariana M. Walker of Houston, Texas; daughter Ashley T. Hannah of N.C. ; sons, Demontae’ D. Steward of Orlando, FL; Damion Dyson and M L Hamilton both of Kalamazoo; 4 grandchildren, Amir L. Hannah, Damijah D. Daniel, Imari K. Steward and Ava J. Hannah Monroe; his beloved mother, Eleanor Walker; his grandfather, Ulysses Walker (Virginia); his most dedicated sister, Monique (Michael) Shannon; baby brother, Donald (Totiania) Porter, 6 uncles, Richard Phillips, Ricky Cockrell, Arthur Fry, Johnnie (Marie) Hollins, Elder Barry (Janet) Fry and his uncle Ulyesses “Dobbie” (Lisa) Echols; 11 aunts, Olivia McFadden, Yolanda (Thomas) Walker; Dianne (Arthur) Anderson; Carol (Mayweather) Smith; Tina Fry; Royetta Walker; Carol Fry; Priscilla Phillips; Wilma Jones; Lisa Jones and Faye Fry; 3 special nieces and nephews, Lashanna (“Lynn”), Timothy (“Rock”) and Tihate Aquarion (“QF”), along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, great nieces and nephews.
