Mrs. Jacqueline Charity Stacy

Jacqueline Charity Stacy, also known as “Jackie”, passed away peacefully on September 5, 2019. Jackie was born December 23, 1943 in Independence, Kansas. She was the first born child to the late Louis and Lucille “Lula” Bell. While Jackie was growing up she had a big responsibility with being a BIG sister to her only BABY brother, John G. Bell, whom she loved dearly. They would always say to each other, “I LOVE YOU WITH A BUSHEL, AND A PECK AND A HUG AROUND THE NECK” toward the end of their conversation. Their grandmother, Charity and their mother Lula would say this to them often while growing up. In 1958, Jackie met her first love, the late Joe Miller and together they share a daughter, Latricia Ann (husband Anthony). In 1959, Jackie married her first husband, Leon D. Murrell. Leon was a hardworking auto mechanic. Together they share 7 children: Juanita Takicia, Shree Regina, Michael Anthony, Louis Delaney and the late Leon Jr., and twin boys who passed away at birth. She was a loving mother who took care of her children. Her first husband Leon died in 1976. As widow she managed to still provide her children with essentials. In the late 70’s, just when Jackie thought falling in love again with someone wasn’t possible, she was swept off her feet and fell deeply in love with the late Henry Stacy. Henry was a patient, kind man to Jackie, which she appreciated from him. During the mid 80’s-90’s, Jackie was a loyal member of Friendship Baptist Church in Kalamazoo, Michigan where she served on the Usher Board. Jackie’s favorite gospel song was, “Precious Lord, Take My Hand”. She would be so moved by this song when it was sung. Jackie was fighting cancer for several years. She received the love and support from many, especially her daughter Latricia and youngest son, Louis who was among those that were with her nearly every single step of the way during her battle with this illness. She leaves behind her brother, children, and grandchildren: Katrina, Ayanna, M’Tisha, Alisha, Ciarra, Donnell, Eric, Andrew, Jackie, Rochelle, Michelle, Makayla and Summer Ray; great-grandchildren: Myquan, Michael, Sebastian Jr., Quindon, Amira, Arias, Aaliziah, Aaleenah, Myesha, Josiah, Zay’Vion, Seriah, Erin, Angel, America, Ivory, Kardiyare, Nevaeh, Isaiah, Semaj, Jayda, Da’Quavious, Tocques, Dante, Mar’Shon, James, William, Hasani, Mariah, Jasmine, Roneisha, Ayanna Jr. Eric Jr. Elamaria, Eva, Eve, Eliana, Emmanuel,. Prince, Andrew Jr. and Amiya; great-great grandchildren: Samariah, Royal, Halo and Serenity. Also, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.
