SEE SERVICE TIMES & LOCATION BELOW**** Marcionna “Marci”Mariyah Edwards, daughter of Kionna Jones and Marcell Edwards was born February 4, 2000 in Kalamazoo Michigan at Borgess Hospital. She transitioned this life to the awaiting arms of our loving Lord on Sunday, February 24, 2019. At the age of 1 year she was baptized at Christ Lutheran Church of Detroit Michigan. Marci is deeply loved and missed by her baby brother, Choyce Johnson. She attended school primary school at Amberly Elementary School in Portage, MI and middle and high school at Vicksburg Public Schools. Marci really enjoyed playing basketball and she was a great athlete at Vicksburg High School. She loved to go shopping, getting her hair and nails done, traveling and being with her friends, family, cousins, aunts and uncles. She especially adored and cherished her little brother so very much was like mom to him. Marci loved her aunt Evelyn Cantrell and her cousin Alonzo McClenney. As her mom would say, she loved her phone and traveling. She also loved to select everything in her favorite color, pink. Her favorite foods were pasta, fried chicken, and chicken alfredo, eggs (like her father, and noodles better known as “loodles” with cheese. Her favorite restaurant was Olive Garden. Marci leaves to cherish her memory: her very loving parents, Kionna Jones and Marcell Edwards whom she adored, (her father called her “Boo Boo” and his Princess); her beloved grandmother, Brenda Berghuis of Kalamazoo MI and loving grandparents, Curtis and Mary Edwards (who affectionately called Marci—Grandma’s “Pebbles”) of Detroit, MI; her aunts and uncles, Monique Cross, Kenyada Williams, Katrina Edwards, Stephanie Ash, Curtis Edwards Jr. and Chase Parker and along with a host of aunts and uncles. Marci leaves a host of very special cousins and many, many close friends to cherish her memory. Also, a very special great, great-great aunt Mary Kate Gibson of Kalamazoo MI; along with best friend Jaden Hoyt and a very special great grandma, Juanita Lockett. She was and remains aunt Katrina Edward’s baby. She is preceded in death by her grandfather Richard “Ricky” Parker, paternal grandparents, Maurice and Vernell Parker-Dunning, Otis and Lois Kyles, Dell and Steve Dunning, aunt Preonka Daniels and cherished uncle Riccardo Parker.
