Mr. Riccardo Antwon Parker

Riccardo Antwon Parker, lovingly known as “Cardo” went home to be with the Lord, February 17, 2013. He was born December 31, 1985 to Richard Parker and Brenda Berghuis in Kalamazoo, MI. He received his high school diploma in 2003. Riccardo was excited about enrolling in college at Kalamazoo Valley Community College to study Business. One of Riccardo’s passions was to start a business that included a barbershop, clothing store and restaurant. Riccardo loved his family and close friends who were all known to him as his “Famlay”. He was excited about to reuniting with his brother, Chase who is from Texas. He loved listening to music, especially Hip Hop. Riccardo was an animal lover and when he was a child he wanted to bring home any stray dog he saw! He loved his children very much and also loved his nieces and nephews as though they were his own. Riccardo was a strong, trustworthy, loyal man who “kept it real”. He was honest, respectful and a man of his word—if he said he would do something, he would do it. He was known to have a playful, sense of humour. Riccardo was his mama’s “baby”. He will greatly missed by family, close friends and all whose lives he touched, especially his fiancee’, Timil; his sister, Monique who provided him with guidance and love when he needed it the most; his sister Kionna, who he nicknamed, “Keek”, who was like a “2nd Mama to him, and who was always bossing him around, but keeping him on the right track at all times. Also, his “brother-from-another-mother”, Bub, and the rest of friends and cousins (his crew) you know who you are. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Vernell Parker-Dunning; his sister, Prianka Daniell (Parker). Riccardo leaves to cherish his precious memories: his loving parents, Richard Parker and Brenda Berghuis, both of Kalamazoo, MI; 3 sisters, Monique Williams, Kionna Jones and Kenyada Williams all of Kalamazoo; 1 brother, Chase Parker of Texas; 2 children, Azzion Aguilar and Camarra Parker both of Kalamazoo; his fiancee’ Timil Clopton (Parker) of Kalamazoo; maternal grandparents, Elaine Ranney and Timothy Berghuis; his paternal grandfather, Maurice Dunning; aunts, Debbie Carson, Dinah (Marvin) Johnson, Michelle Dunning, Eve (Dan) Ranney Holroyd and Karen (John) Wells; uncles, Charles Parker of Kalamazoo, Lynn Parker of Grand Rapids, Ronnie (Kay Knight) Parker of Albion, Donald (Marie) Dunning, Michael Dunning, Danny (Loren) Dunning of Grand Rapids, Dale Dunning and Steve Dunning both of Kalamazoo; nieces and nephews: Nasha Williams, Marcionna Edwards, Alonzo McClenney, Naqueavion McClenney, Rodney Robinson Jr., Choyce Johnson.
