These Locations & Times are Listed Below*** Ms. Theresa Lynn Lipsey departed this life unexpectedly January 31, 2020 in Kalamazoo, Michigan. She was born June 9, 1958 the daughter of Willie Lipsey and Dorothy (Lipsey) Thompson in Kalamazoo, Michigan. As a young girl she attended New Jerusalem COGIC and later attended Mt. Zion Baptist Church. She attended Kalamazoo Public Schools and graduated “Old” Kalamazoo Central High School. She was employed with at Textile Systems in Kalamazoo for many years, until her health prevented her from working. Theresa enjoyed spending time with her family and cooking for family gatherings (and was known to grill in the winter time!), She also enjoyed shopping and loved to listen to old school R&B & Hip-Hop especially Mary J. Blige, Salt-n- Pepa or Escape. Theresa was known to be outspoken and honest. She was a selfless person who would always put her family and their needs before herself. You knew you could count on her for anything. Theresa leaves behind a lot of memories that will be shared among family for years to come. She will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Buddie and Ollie Thompson; mother Dorothy (Lipsey) Thompson, father Willie Lipsey, 5 brothers Lee Allen Lipsey, William Thompson, Bobby Lipsey, Terry Lipsey, Matthew Lipsey; one sister Emma Lipsey and one nephew, Terrence “Touche” Lipsey. She leaves to cherish in her memories: one daughter, Beverly Lipsey and one son David Morris both of Kalamazoo, Michigan; one brother, James Lipsey; 2 sisters, Mary (Nate) Jackson and Edwina (Dave) Jackson; two sister in laws, Betty Thompson and Jesse Lipsey; 11 grandchildren Dontrelle Kellum, Antonio Walker Jr., Antoinette Walker, Demarcus Walker, Dominic Walker, Rashad Morris, Amaya Whitfield, Rahmad Edmonson, David Morris III, Xavier Morris, and Bella Morris; 5 great grandchildren, Wyatt Walker, A’milina Walker, Dante’ Kellum, Mia Kellum, and Dominic Walker Jr; one special niece a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
