Mr. A.D. Ware

Westnedge Avenue in Kalamazoo, Michigan. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mr. A.D. Ware went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 23, 2017 in Kalamazoo, MI. He was born on February 7, 1932, in Vicksburg, Mississippi. He was the youngest of three sons born to Frank Ware Sr. and Mary (Brown) Clinton. He attended Albion Public Schools and upon graduation, went on to serve in the United States Army. He was a member of the 82nd Airborne Division, having fought in the Korean War. After discharge from the U.S. Army he settled in Kalamazoo, Michigan. A.D. worked at a variety of jobs before settling at Shakespear's, where he was Union President. He worked for 27 years before retiring. He enjoyed playing softball, bowling, and playing cards...especially Bid Wis and having family barbecue's. He was also an active member of the American Legion. A.D. was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, Frank Ware Jr. and Gene Ware both of Kalamazoo and a grandson, Brandin Sanders of Lansing, MI. He is survived by his only two sons, Malcom (Kim) Ware of Lansing, MI and Marcus (Johnette) Ware of Albion, MI; 12 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; 11 great great grandchildren; one uncle, Wesley Brown of Lansing, MI and a host of nieces, nephews; along with one special nephew, Ronald (Vornelia) Ware. Also, our very special stepmother, Modean Reeves and a special cousin, Mattie Fields, both of Kalamazoo, MI.
