She was born August 12, 1950, in Kalamazoo, MI and graduated from Kalamazoo Central High School in 1969. She retired after 45 years from Graphic Packaging International. Barbara accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of The Galilee Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Edward, Sr. and Artie Will Jackson; a beloved son, Gerald G. Whitfield; three brothers, Ross Edward Jackson, Michael Anthony Jackson, Sr., Ronnie Earl Jackson, and Robert Edward Jackson, Jr. She leaves to cherish her memory, three children, Tony (Melissa) Jackson of Gary, IN, Clifford Jackson and Renee Whitfield of Kalamazoo, MI; two brothers, David Jackson and Raynard Jackson of Kalamazoo, MI; two sisters, Atricia Jackson of Atlanta, GA and Veronica (Tracy) Pettway of Talking Rock, GA; one god brother, Brian (Robin) Pratt of Kalamazoo, MI; 19 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, two special grandson’s Tyren Sheppard and Jamar Jackson; special sister-in-law, Debra Jackson of Kalamazoo, MI; special daughter, Luanne Williams of Kalamazoo, MI; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends. Barbara will be greatly missed by all who know and love her.
