He was born on September 13, 1961 to Willie and Alice Jones in Doddsville, MS, one of 14 children. He owned and operated B & J Transport, Inc. and Wireless Communications. He enjoyed operating his businesses, cooking, vacationing, sports (especially football) and all of the people connected to them. Bobby was a man of honor, strong willed who didn’t mind having a healthy debate on occasions. He loved family and friends, which he would show through his actions and his honesty. Bobby is survived by his wife Geneva of 35 years and their daughter Bridgette; 5 siblings: Della Mae Washington of Atlanta, GA; Willie Jones (Debbie), Joseph Jones (Phyllis), and Willie B. Jones, Jr. (Dorothy) all of Jackson, MS; and Saddie Sabir (Najiy) of Cleveland, OH. He is also survived by his in-laws: Helen Gray (John) of Kankakee, IL; Frankie Darby (Shirley) of Yazoo, MS and Alfred Darby (Lula) of Forest, MS. Although he did not have any grandchildren, he has a host of nieces and nephews. Bobby was a true inspiration to all he came in contact with and he will be missed. ___________________________________________- LOVING TRIBUTES An Eternal Memory…To My Loving Husband, You were my World, my Everything. We have spent over 35 (phenomenal) years together as ONE. Many have said ‘If you see one, you see the other’, ‘inseparable’, & ‘2 peas in a pod’. You have sheltered, protected, treated me like a Queen, & loved me dearly. I will miss you tremendously. As I now look back, I know you have been preparing me for this day. When you touched my hand & closed your eyes for the last time, I knew from deep within your heart you knew I would be okay & be the strong woman that you molded me to be. As we have always said & believed ‘God put us together & has blessed us’ & ‘If you believe & trust in God ALL THINGS are possible’. Thanks for being a wonderful husband & father to our daughter. I could not have asked for anything more. As we say every night to each other, ‘Good night, Honey - Love you’. ------------------------------- TO MY DAD, From the time you met my Mom you considered me as your daughter. I watched how you treated my Mom with the upmost respect. You demonstrated how a man should treat his wife. I watched and took notes. You treated her as a Queen and me as your Princess. People say you spoiled us, and I must agree – you did. You taught me the importance of marriage and to never settle for less. You were present in all my life events and supported me along the way. You always encouraged me to do my Best and to never give up. Through the years, you never made me feel like a stepdaughter. You never let those words fall out of your mouth. I was your daughter and nothing else mattered. You will forever and Always be the Best Dad a girl could have! No one will ever compare to you. You will always and forever be in my heart.
