If you have any questions, please contact us at: (269) 342-1000 ___________________________________________ THE OBITUARY Ms. Brenda Ann Stubbs went home to be with the Lord, March 17, 2022 in Kalamazoo, Michigan. She was born in Atlanta, GA the daughter of Charles "Charles Joe" Bloodworth Sr. and Ollie L. (Samuel) Bloodworth. She relocated to Kalamazoo in the 1980's. In 1985, she met and united in marriage to Ervin Sylvester Stubbs, Sr.. Brenda was employed as a Certified Nurse's Assistant for many years. In the mid 1990's, she became a member of Galilee Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Dr. J. Louis Felton and remained a faithful member under the leadership of Pastor Dr. Michael T. Scott, Sr. Brenda cared about people and was active in the community with ISAAC (Interfaith Strategy for Advocacy & Action in the Community) for many years. She loved her children and grandchildren and once said she would have only sons, and she did. Later when she was blessed with grandchildren and they also were all boys! Brenda enjoyed music and loved to watch country western and action movies. She was someone who once you met her, you wouldn't forget her. Brenda was a loving, caring, kind-hearted person, but you knew not to take her kindness for weakness because she was a very strong black woman. She was someone who had an opinion but she had a forgiving nature. She wouldn't hold grudges if you disagreed with her because she would always get over any disagreement quickly. She will be missed by all who knew her. She is preceded in death by her husband Ervin Sylvester Stubbs, Sr.; her parents Charlie Joe and Ollie L. Bloodworth; her brothers, Charlie Joe Bloodworth Jr., Lonnie Bloodworth and Vincent; sister, Barbara Harris; grandfather, Arch Samuel and grandmother, Essie Mae Samuel; nephew, Gary Bloodworth; nieces, Sallie Mae Bloodworth, Jasmine, Tonetta and Paulette. She is survived by her sons, Jeffery, Timothy, Ervin Jr. and Quincy; her siblings, Robert, Delphine, William, Carla, Terry and Annie; grandchildren: twins, Jeff and Steven; Quincy Jr. and Keiyin Allen Bloodworth. Also, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
