****NOTE: VISITATION & FUNERAL SERVICE TIMES ALONG WITH LOCATIONS LISTED BELOW**** Charles Edward Coleman, 62, was welcomed into this world on August 14, 1956, in Macon, MS by his loving parents Gent Lee and Augusta (White) Coleman. He departed this life to be with our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, March 22, 2019. In 1979, he met his future wife, Jeanette (Summerville) Coleman and later united in marriage with her. To this union, two sons Charles M. Coleman and Eric L. Pettis were added. Charles worked several jobs in his lifetime, starting as a Welder at Checker Motors Corp. in Kalamazoo, MI and ending at Lacks Corp. in Grand Rapids, MI. The family moved to Kalamazoo, MI in 1962 when he was a small child. He attended Kalamazoo Public Schools until he finished. Charles accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior when he was very young and was baptized at Galilee Baptist Church. He loved life and was the life of the party. He enjoyed good music, especially The Dramatics and good food. Three of his favorite hobbies were attending football and basketball games, fishing and mentoring younger people.
