Mrs. Doris Jean Randall
October 17, 1958 - June 25, 2018
Doris Jean Randall, age 59, of Kalamazoo, Michigan passed away peacefully in her sleep Monday June 25, 2018 while visiting family in Dallas, Texas. She was born on October 17 1958 in St. Louis, Missouri. She was the eldest of 10 children born to N. C Huntley and Birdine Huntley-James. Doris was married to John Randall on November 22, 1995 in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Doris and John shared many things in life, but one thing in particular they both shared was the will to care for each other through thick or thin. Doris was one of the kindest people you could ever meet. She had a beautiful smile and a heart as big as this world. She gave unconditionally and sacrificed whatever and whenever she could to make sure that others didn't go without. Over the years she opened her heart and home to anyone in need. She was a great cook, and attending Bingo was her favorite pastime. She also enjoyed playing cards with some of her closet friends, and watching Texas Ranger. Doris was preceded in death by her parents; a half-brother and her mother-in-law, Rachel Randall. Doris is survived by her husband, John Randall; she will forever be remembered by her four children; Cedric (Andrietta) Huntley, Shantel (Andre) Carter, Brian Henderson, Birdine “Red” (OnTario) Fry, and her step-children; two in particular, whom she had a direct hand in raising, Jamar and Laniya Randall. She also leaves behind seven (7) sisters; Debra, Tracey, Cheryl, Stephanie, Rochelle, Freedom “Pooh” Burns, LaJoyce (Ronnie) Brooks; and two (2) brothers; Kasib (Renee) Mumin and Rodney (Kerri) Huntley. Doris will also be fondly remembered by her 13 grandchildren who she loved unconditionally; 12 great- grandchildren, who through family will continue to keep her memory alive; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends. She will be sorely missed by all. The family would like to thank everyone for their heartfelt condolences, contributions, and kind words.
