Mr. Ezell Plair Jr.

"OUR LORD GOD HAS IN HIS TIME CALLED " Ezell Plair Jr. home to be with Him. He said, Ezell “I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.” Revelation 3:8 Ezell Plair Jr. was the first born to the late Ezell Plair Sr. and Sarah Plair on August 1, 1927 in St. Louis, MO. The family later moved to Starkville, MS where he attended school and Plair’s AME Church. Ezell has eight siblings: Celia Carpenter, Eddie Mae Clingman, Ernestine Deloney, Josephine Sudduth, Artie C. Plair, Jimmie L. Plair, Freddie Plair, Elma J. Plair Jackson. As a young man, Ezell met and later married Artencie Seldon, on March 15, 1946. Together they had 3 sons and 3 daughters: Doris Jean Plair Mitchell (late Clifford), late William Matthew Plair (Deloris), Pastor Alexander Plair I (Patricia), Superintendent F. Joseph Plair Sr. (Linda), District Missionary Janice Plair Brown (Deacon Fenner L.), Veronica Plair Baymon (Assistant Pastor, Vernon L.). Our father has had a blessed life of longevity and prosperity. His challenges and accomplishments have been many. As the eldest son and a pioneer he was the first to migrate from the south, Starkville, MS to Kalamazoo, MI. Pertaining to I Corinthians 7:14a; The unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife” such was God’s word manifested in the favored marriage of Ezell and Artencie. By her faithful attendance to the favored marriage of Ezell and Artencie. By her faithful attendance to the House of God, Ezell Plair Jr. began to attend, and as a result, received salvation at Holy Temple C.O.G.I.C., in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Thus began his life’s jouney in Christ at the youthful age of 26. On Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at sunrise, Administrator Ezell Plair departed this life peacefully. He leaves to cherish his memory, Artencie Plair, his lovely wife of 68 years In addition to his wife and children, he leaves: 24 grand-children, 27 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors, friends and family in the gospel.
