Georgia Mae Lawrence went home to be with the Lord, September 18, 2016 in Kalamazoo, MI. She was born January 5, 1954 to the late Thomas Harold and Vonceal Lawrence in Clarksdale, MS. She loved the Lord and accepted Him as her Savior. Despite her health challenges she faced in the last 2 years, she knew through it all she had God’s grace and favor in her life. Georgia was employed as a chef. She enjoyed cooking and was famous for her crispy fried chicken, which was loved by family and friends. Georgia was an easy going, kind hearted woman, who enjoyed spending time wither sons. She also spent many of her days reading science fiction novels, putting together all types of puzzles and collecting heart-shaped memorabilia. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Georgia leaves to cherish her memories: 2 sons, Corey Jay Mulligan-Lawrence and Jordan Scott Mulligan-Lawrence; 6 sisters, Sheley Lawrence of Portage, MI; Rev. Louise (Larry) Corwin of Maryland; Vonceal (John) Phillips of Kalamazoo, MI; Cynthia (Edgar) Edmonson of Plainwell, MI; Gloria (Dwight) Denning of Lansing, MI; Patricia (Michael) Dunn of Battle Creek, MI and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
