Jacquelyn Denise Boykins

Jacquelyn “Jackie” Denise Boykins, was born September 29, 1969 in Chicago, Illinois at Cook County Hospital. She spent a short time in Vandalia, Michigan before moving to Kalamazoo, Michigan. She was a member of the class of 1988 at Kalamazoo Central High School where she was a Varsity cheerleader. Before her untimely death, Jackie resided in Elkhart, Indiana were she was employed by Robert Weed Plywood. In support of her son’s budding entertainment career, Jackie was a proud supporter and representative of Bleu 23 Records. She planned to organize the non-profit sector of the organization to ensure they gave back to the community that was supporting their musical endeavors. Jackie was a member of Pentecostal Cathedral Church of God in Christ (COGIC) in South Bend, Indiana. She was a loving & devoted mother, daughter and sister. She always strived to be the best person she could be, while being supportive of all those she loved. Loyalty and family were very important to her and she always did her best to help others, even when she did not have much herself. Her beaming personality and smile will be truly missed by all that had the honor to meet her and be a part of her life. Strong “Terri” of Atlanta, GA; nieces, Briana Renee Carpenter, Terricka JaLynn Carpenter, Jewel Imani Smith all of Baton Rouge, LA; and Giselle Elizabeth Joi Strongof (Atlanta, GA; grandchildren, Ta’Ryah Lanae, Kaliyah Arielle, Dia Rayne and Le’La Joi; Uncles, Dwight (Denise) Boykins of Warrensville, Ill and Anthony (Alison) Boykins, Jr. of Kalamazoo, MI; Aunts, Jonette Smith, Reva (Robert, Sr) Page and Lisa Boykins of South Bend, IN; first cousins, Derrick (Tammy) Smith of Conneticut; Vernita Coleman; Carla (Laurence) Bryson, Sr. of Detroit, MI; Rechica (Arnulfo) Ledesma of Elkhart, IN; Charice Coleman–Winters of Elkhart, IN; Joretha Hall Boykins of Elkhart, IN; Anthony Boykins, III of Korea; Dwight Boykins, Jr. of Portland, Oregon; Cortney Boykins of Warrensville, Ill; Danielle Boykins, Raven Boykins, OnTaya Boykins, Trinity Boykins and Ezekiel Boykins all of Kalamazoo, MI.
