He made his transition home with the Father on May 20, 2021 at the age of 31. James was born in Indianapolis, Indiana and later moved to the state of Michigan at the age of 12. Jr was very athletic from playing AAU Basketball, to playing Football at Loy Norrix where he attended high school. He later graduated from P.C.E.C. in Portage, Michigan in 2008. James (AKA, Meathead") was a great father who always worked hard to provide for his children. He always had a smile on his face and loyal to his friends. We remember when James was only 8 years old, he would sit and help his grandma Mary read the Bible. Jr. is also known for his great culinary skills. What most might not know is that he started in the kitchen frying chicken for church fundraisers and grew to being a grill master. One of the things he loved most as he grew older was sitting on the banks fishing. He would take all of his children throughout the years to enjoy quiet family time. James accepted Christ and was baptized in 2004 and Calvary Apostolic Temple in Kalamazoo, MI. He really had a heart of gold, always being a conflict resolver among his peers, willing to provide rides or monetary assistance to those who were in need. James leaves behind to cherish his memory: his parents, James L. Miller, Sr. (Kenya), Markyta Sanoussi (Souradjou); siblings, Leshona Miller (Dye'Jona), Vanita Price, and Devonte Fraser; his companion, Brittany Kye; children, Jasmine McCoy, James L. Miller III and Javion L. Miller; grandmother, Mary Rush; niece, Daniesha Miller, Ailex Smith Jr., Shayla Resnover, 8 uncles, 3 aunts and a host of family and friends.
