James Pratcher was born January 21, 1969 to his mother Betty Evans and father Ashley Pratcher. James was the first born of two children. After the passing of his mother Betty, James was adopted by his younger sister's (Carol Yvette Pratcher) father, Robert Floyd and wife Edwina Campbell Floyd. James was a alumni of Farragut Career Academy in Chicago IL. James accepted Christ early in life. He was baptized at St. Michael Missionary Baptist Church. James met his wife Latoya Pratcher in 1991. James and Latoya were joined together in holy matrimony January 11, 1995, and to this union they 2 children were born:. James A. Pratcher Jr. and Jonnae A. Pratcher. James also has another son Brandon Townsel (Elaine). In 2006, James moved to Indianola, Mississippi with his mother-in-law, to be closer to his children. During this time, he was gainfully employed at Delta Pride. In 2010, James moved to Kalamazoo Michigan with his sister, Yvette. James was a provider, a loving husband and great dad. Anyone that knew James knew that he loved basketball, video games and Nascar. His favorite team was the Chicago bulls. James answered God's call June 5, 2017. During his life James touched many different people. He had many friends and was truly loved, and will be truly missed by all. He was preceded in death by his mother Betty Evans; father, Ashley Pratcher; and his adoptive parents, Robertt Floyd and Edwina Campbell Floyd. James leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Latoya Pratcher; 3 children, Brandon, James Jr. and Jonnae; 5 grandchildren, Brandon Jr., Malcolm, Mia, Layla and Brooklyn; his sisters, Yvette, Mrya, NaRita, Nancy, Joan, Jennifer, Jackie, Lantanga, Latia and Lanardia and 1 brother, Lewis. his mother and father in law, Elnora and David Haslett; brother, David Haslett Jr.; special friends Lander Campbell and James Adkins and a host of nieces and nephews.
