West passed way Thursday, January 17, 2019, age 56, at Rose Arbor Hospice in Kalamazoo, Michigan. He was born October 15, 1963 the son Rosie Marie West and Ruben Smith. He relocated to Florida, where 3 children were born. He was employed as a CNA in Florida. While there he continued his love for Harley motorcycles and was part of a biker’s club. Kenneth loved his family and friends. He was a country boy with a love for animals, sitting out around bonfires and racing. He enjoyed family cookouts and walking along the ocean. He also enjoyed going to yard sales, watching scary movies and listening to music. He loved his family and friends who knew he naturally had a big heart and would do anything for them. He loved children, especially his nieces and nephews who he loved to spoil, and his special niece, Paula who he helped raise. He would spend time with them during game night which was at least once a week. Kenneth was a “big kid at heart” who loved to watch NCIS, Blue Blood and Leverage. He also enjoyed his favorite snacks and “soda”. He was known as a collector who felt that “someone else’s trash, was someone else’s treasure.” He definitely would find and collect memorable items if someone else didn’t want them anymore. He had several tattoos which all had a meaning to him and he was very OCD about himself. He was proud of his background which includes his American Indian heritage. He owned a dog statue, named Lucky. He said it was the best pet you could ever have, because it doesn’t run from you, eat go, potty and was loyal! He enjoyed traveling and would go to the Mardi Gras whenever he could. He will be greatly missed by many. Kenny We Love You and miss you very much Fly High, Hun, See You Again. He was preceded in death by his grandmother/mother, Rosa West; his mother, Rosie Marie Fuller; sister, Becky Luce; and his father Ruben Smith. He leaves to cherish his memory: 2 sisters, Laura and Bonnie; brothers. Tim and Lawrence and stepdad Lawrence Luce; along with many nieces, nephews and friends.
