Oliver Warford was born to Edmond and Parthenia Warford (Mills) on March 6,1941 in Jackson Tennessee. Oliver moved his family to Kalamazoo in 1971. He was employed with Midwest Enterprises for the Blind in which he retired in July of 2015. Oliver enjoyed reading books, listening to music, and talking on the phone. He loved being around his family. He was known to be the "realist" person anyone could meet. He was a caring, giving person, with a kind heart. His favorite saying was “Who loves you baby!” God called Oliver Warford Home on October 9,2018. Left to honor and remember his love are his wife Joann Warford; his 7 children, Gregory Brown, Vickie Brown, Rosiland Brown, Tammy Brown, Sharon Brown, all of Kalamazoo; Donald Moore of Chicago, Illinois and Shaconda (Theron) Givhan of Kalamazoo. He has 1 brother, John Warford of St. Louis, MO; 4 sister-in laws, Christine (Dave) Thurman, Verline Brown, Wilma (James) McPherson all of Kalamazoo MI and Gloria Brown of Akron, Ohio; 25 Grandchildren, 30 Great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Oliver was preceded in death by his parents Edmond and Parthenia, and step dad, Wilford C Mills; his brother, Willy Ray Warford; his grandson Marcus Brown; his daughter-in-law, Marlena Moore; two brother-in-laws, James E Brown and Willie Beasley.
