She was raised by her mother and father, Callie Mae and Frank Baskin. Peggy attended Kalamazoo Public Schools and graduated from Loy Norrix High School. She worked at Upjohn/ Pfizer and proceeded her career at Borgess as a unit clerk for over 10 years. At young age she dedicated her life to Christ and was a faithful member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. The Lord blessed Peggy with the natural gift of leaving an imprint of love on others. One of her greatest accomplishments were her children, she loves them unconditionally, especially her grandchildren. She will truly be missed by the lives she has touched. Peggy was welcomed home to her Heavenly father on Monday April 14th 2025. Peggy is survived by her children, Ekimbrea Layosha Dunigan Couvillion and Michael Erving Dunigan; her siblings, Teresa Dunigan, Stella and Kenneth “Pahoo” Underwood; her grandchildren, La’Brea and Kavia Couvillion, Tamia, Elijah and Ezra Dunigan; her Great Grandchildren Jhyaire and Jhyshaun Couvillion Karmelo Matthews and one son in law Bobby Couvillion, along with a host of nieces, nephews; a cousin more like a sister, Leevater Kay Reason and a loving significant other, Juan Rojas. Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, Geraldine, Kenneth, Callie, and Frank, her siblings, Brenda, Scott, and Kelly; three grandsons, Michael, A’ Metrius and Ervin Dunigan and two special friends, Louise and Rose.
