Custer National Cemetery held at 1:00 p.m. ----------------------------------- Ronald Isaich Towers was called home on Wednesday, July 8, 2020. He was born in St. Louis, Missouri on October 26, 1948 to Isaiah Buster Woods and Leola (Love) Gaddie. He was the youngest of three siblings and was baptized at an early age. He was drafted into the Army in 1969. Ronald attended Brentwood Business Institute and Forest Park Community college in St. Louis, MO. He came to Kalamazoo and began employment with the UpJohn Company as a chemical preparation technician for chemical research. While there he met Evelyn Thomas and they were married in 1975, and out of that union, Afiya was born. Later on in life, he met his fiancé Zorena Pratt and Rashon was born. Due to an illness he had to retire early. Ronald enjoyed sports, cars, and listening to music. He was full of life and kept people laughing all the time. Whenever he would hear music he would jump up and start dancing. Preceding him in death are his father; Isaiah Buster Woods, one daughter, fiancé; Zorena Pratt, and stepfather Joe Gaddie. Ronald leaves to cherish his memories, his mother; Leola (Love) Gaddie of Kalamazoo, MI, one daughter; Afiya Towers of Memphis, TN, one son; Rashon (Takara ) Pratt of Kalamazoo, MI. Four grandchildren; Carlton Towers, Chard'na Benton, Ciera Holder, and Zorena Pratt and one great grandchild; Miquez Benton. One sister; Carol (Nate) Owens, one brother; Alfred Barnes, all of Kalamazoo, MI. A special friend of the family, Bessie Rice, and a host of nieces and nephews.
