She was born on October 29, 2004 in Kalamazoo, MI to parents Omeka Bradford of Kalamazoo, MI and Everett Muhammad of Ft. Wayne, IN. Taigan was a 2022 Senior at Kalamazoo Central High School. She is remembered by her love for dancing, cooking and her goldendoodle, Jersey Dior. Taigan was a vibrant, fun, loving and silly person who had a contagious laugh that uplifted whatever room she was in. Her plans were to attend Kalamazoo Valley Community College to pursue her nursing degree. She had a passion for doing hair and making people feel good about themselves. She loved to swim, drive and travel. Taigan loved her family and was a mama's girl. She and her mom loved to binge watch show series, movies and shipping. She would participate and be competitive during family game nights and no matter the game, you could count on YaYa to bring her best foot forward. For any occasion, she had the best costumes that were so creative. Taigan was always laughing and full of life and was the queen of rocking out on TikTok videos. Taigan had a bond with all of her cousins that was unmatched and admirable. She and her cousins were inseparable and could count on each other no matter what. She was loved by all that knew her and will leave a lasting imprint in their hearts. Taigan was preceded in death by both her maternal and paternal great grandparents, Hellon Smith, James Arthur Smith, Rosevelt Bradford, Evelyn Bradford, Willie Virginia Thomas, Walter Thomas, Josephine Jackson and Charles Jackson. Taigan leaves to cherish her memory with her parents, Omeka Bradford of Kalamazoo, MI and Everett (Majorie) Muhammad of Ft. Wayne, IN; her sisters Taiah Bradford and Ryleigh Carter of Kalamazoo, MI and Aaliyah Muhammad and Juaniqua Brown of Benton Harbor, MI; her maternal grandparents, Pallene Bradford of Kalamazoo, MI, Charles, (Joann) Bradford of Bastrop, LA and her paternal grandparents, Na'imah Muhammad and Salaam Muhammad Sr. of Ft. Wayne, IN; many aunts and uncles, Dana (Artreal) Norman, Shaneka "Auntie Bam" (Marcus) Brown, Rashad Thomas, Tyson Brown all of Kalamazoo, MI; Evelyn (Anthony) Walker of Detroit, MI; Charlie Bradford of Grand Rapids, MI, Travis (Renee) Thomas of Indianapolis, IN Marvin (Jennifer) Thomas of Indianapolis, IN, Jermont (Marilyn) Muhammad of Grand Rapids, Salaam Muhammed Jr. and Hakim Muhammed of Ft. Wayne, IN; her bonus sisters, Lashay Epperson, Sedricka Epperson; and her nieces/nephew, Alaysia Eason, LaMiyah Heard, AvaLei Waltors and Najme Muhammad all of Benton Harbor, MI; her best friend, Passion Burnett of Kalamazoo, MI; her aunties "in love", Aja Sutton, Ms. Brenda Smith, Cynthia Harrington, Raquel "Monnie" Brown of Kalamazoo, MI and Shantel Carter of Dallas, TX. Significant individuals throughout her life were her godparents, Tim Davis of Indiana, Rashada Wanzer of Texas; god-sister, Cozette Devoe, godbrother, Jordan Bolden both of Kalamazoo, MI and Sherry Hanley PnP, her favorite pediatrician; her big sister, Tunezha Crowder of Detroit, MI and her mentor, Ms. Cole. She leaves behind her TikTok crew that she loved dearly, Darius, Ahmir, Ari, Marquis, Rhyan, Paris, and Skylar; her favorite little people Lil DJ, Avarie Grace and AJ. Additionally, she leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and her entire Class of 2022. Tiagan leaves behind a strong family to always remember her life and the joy she brought to each of them.
