WE WILL PROVIDE HAND SANITIZER WHEN ENTERING OUR BUILDING. ***If you have any questions, please contact us at: (269) 342-1000 ______________________________ Mrs. Gloria Lorine Williams, lovingly known as “Lo” to family and friends, made her transition to her heavenly home on April 9, 2024. She was born the third daughter of eight girls to Joe David and Magnolia Anderson on December 19, 1952, in Inverness, MS. Gloria relocated to Kalamazoo in 1965 and attended Kalamazoo Public Schools. After graduating, she later took college courses at Davenport College. She worked in the home health care field for many years, writing and developing programs to help assist the physically challenged. After retirement, she dedicated her time cooking and preparing dinners for family gatherings, and friends. Everyone looked forward to these delicious meals she lovingly prepared. In 1992, she united in marriage to Jerry Williams, which also united her with Jerrica. Gloria loved music and had an extensive record album collection. One of her favorite artists is Miguel. She was known to have a great sense of humor and loved to laugh. She was also known to have a colorful way of expressing herself— directly without being harsh in her words. She enjoyed bringing family together with the food she prepared, which was her way of expressing her love to her family. She was a regular at the casino. One of her favorite sayings was, “Don’t give bring me flowers when I’m gone, bring them to me when I’m alive.” She was much loved and will be missed by her family and friends. She is preceded in death by her father, Joe David; mother, Magnolia; sisters, Cynthia and Dorothy. She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband Jerry Williams and daughters, Jerrica and Patricia; her sisters, Joanne, Lillie, Lateefah, Brenda and Carolyn; nieces, Jeanette, Amina, Ursila, Cynthia and Naquavia; nephews, Tony and Michael, David, Prentice, Jeffery, and Devery grandchildren, Makaiya; Quinn, Mamie, Arista, Dominick, Prince, and Ziya; cousins, Bill and Larry Williams; lifelong friends, Janie, Doris and Karen, and a host of great nieces and nephews; great great nieces and nephews, along with many, many family and loved ones.
