Bibbs, age 59 transitioned over with her daughters by her side at Bronson Hospital. Janice, also affectionately known as “Jan” and “Smookey” to many, was born on July 12th, 1964, to the proud parents of Dessie (Pratt) Williams and Johnny Williams in Kalamazoo, Michigan where she resided until she transitioned home to be with the Lord. Janice received her education through Kalamazoo Public Schools and at a young age, she took on the responsibility of taking care of her mother where she grew to love and help the elderly, she later became a certified nursing assistant she continued to work in the healthcare field up to a few weeks before her death. She worked for Home Sweet Home and the Kalamazoo Community Mental Health where she was loved by so many employees and her clients. Janice was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, cousin, and a loving friend. She was generous, kind, loving, helpful, and caring. She loved the Lord, helping others, cooking, spending time with her family and friends, and dancing; Janice was always the life of the party. Anything Janice did she did it grand. Janice could walk into any room and light it up with just her smile. She was a person who had a heart of gold. Janice would have a Christmas dinner every year with her family and friends. She never wanted any help, just wanted everyone to show up and enjoy themselves, everyone always left with a gift. To cherish her memory, she leaves behind her husband Stephen Bibbs and her four children Daniel Williams, Roy Essix Jr., Ronicka Essix, Chyna Bibbs, and her stepson Jaquaris (Shakiyla) Bibbs, all of Kalamazoo, Michigan; 13 grandchildren; her siblings Danny Williams, Debbie Pratt, James “Regan” Williams, and Jeffery Williams. Her three special cousins; Nathasa Gray, Tonya Pratt, and Patrica Gray. Her three best friends; Laurie White, Sharon Pamplin, and Liz Terrell. And many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends that she loved and cared about so deeply. Janice is preceded in death by her parents Dessie (Pratt) Williams and Johnny Williams, and her son Stephen Bibbs Jr. Maternal grandparents T.L. Pratt and Magnolia (Echols) Pratt. Although Janice has departed from this life, Janice will truly be missed and always loved... Our QUEEN of K-Zoo.
