He was born on Clearfield Airforce base and moved with his parents from Utah to California, then back to Kalamazoo, MI at the age of two where he resided for the remainder of his life. He was Christened at the age of two and was blessed with the ability to recite scriptures at a young age. Joseph had an infectious smile and a fun-loving personality and was adored by everyone he met. He made friends easily and people always gravitated towards him. As a young child, he helped his Grandma Darling on her Avon route and was well known and remembered by many people. He was articulate and charming as a child. Joseph attended Kalamazoo and Portage public schools, as well as Kalamazoo Valley Community College in Michigan. Joseph loved telling jokes and making everyone laugh. He was also artistic in many ways and enjoyed drawing, doodling, writing poetry, singing, acting, writing music and raps. Growing up he participated in Tae Kwon Do, Karate, soccer, and basketball. Joseph enjoyed traveling and has been to Jamaica, Turkey, and Bahrain. He loved cooking and eating a variety of cuisines; Middle Eastern, Indian, Italian and Soul Food. His favorite holiday was the 4th of July as he enjoyed watching the fireworks. Joseph aspired to one day be a comic, artist, actor, or chef. He was loving and protective of his family, especially his mother, sisters, wife, and daughter Cora Lynne Johnson. His daughter, who is five years old, looks and acts identical to him. Joseph Neppié Johnson III left this life and gained his wings on July 3rd, 2021. He is survived by his daughter Cora Lynne Johnson; wife Breanna Wanhala; mother Wendy Wilson; stepfather Ali AlHabbas; sisters Na’ima AlHabbas and Nadia AlHabbas; biological father Joseph Johnson Jr., his wife and children; maternal grandparents Bernice and Michael Robinson; biological, maternal grandfather James Robert Wilson; maternal aunt Robin Herron; maternal uncles Dashawn Robinson and Joshua Sutton; cousins Arianna Herron, Gery Rhan II, Anjeliaca Rhan, Aluncia Rhan-White, and their children; paternal grandmother Connie Wilson; paternal grandfather Joseph Johnson Sr.; paternal uncle Brian “Toby” Macon; cousins Brian Macon Jr., Devin Macon, and a host of other cousins; godparents Chan Pratt and Felicia Liggins-Jones, friends, and mentors. Joseph had a special love for his uncles Oliver McFadden and Andre Byrd, who also served as a mentor. He was preceded in death by his great grandmother (Grandma Darling; Caudie V. McFadden), and great grandfather (Claude McFadden), his great grandparents on his father’s side of the family, and his uncle Gery Rhan S
