If you have any questions, please contact us at: (269) 342-1000 _______________________________________ The Obituary Lamont C. Mitchell passed away December 6, 2022, after a long bout of illness. He was born from of the union of Emerson and Emma Mitchell on May 4, 1942. He is the eldest of his siblings, Stanley, Reha and Shane. Lamont and Reha were lifetime buddies--there's nothing she wouldn't do for him. Lamont enjoyed life and lived it on his own terms. This often lead to him getting into trouble. Lamont met the love of his life, Hannah in 1966. They united in marriage and had 2 biological daughters, Monica and Chander. They also adopted a daughter, Samantha. They loved all their girls dearly. He had a passion for traveling and would travel often before he became ill. Once it became too hard for him to move like he wanted to, his passion turned into decorating his apartment and buying all the clothes/shoes he could afford. During this period of his life, he loved hard on his family, and was overjoyed when spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He would spoil them especially on holidays. You could see how proud he was of them. Lamont was a good and loyal friend. If he called you his friend, you were indeed that. He was preceded in death by his parents, Emma Mitchell and Emerson Mitchell; his ex-wife, Hannah Mitchell and his current longtime girlfriend, Louise Jones. Lamont leaves to cherish his memory with his siblings Stanley Mitchell, Reha Burrell and Shane Mitchell; his children, Monica Mitchell, Chander Mitchell and Samantha Allen-Mitchell; grandchildren, Kenny Eason, Montreal Mitchell, Amari Ingram and Tiffanie Morrow; great-grandchildren, Kennedy Eason, KJ Eason and Jamichael Allen. He also leaves to cherish his memory several nieces, nephews and friends. Lamont's memory will be cherished in our hearts and minds forever. He will definitely be missed.
