Mr. Molian Lonnie Dixon Jr.

The Obituary Molian L. Dixon, Jr. departed from our lives on August 10, 2019 at Rose Arbor Hospice Residence in Kalamazoo, MI. He was born January 9, 1934 to the late Molian L. Dixon, Sr. and Sylvia Pope Dixon in Sweetwater, AL. He started working early at the age of 13 at the Sweetwater Cotton Gin Company while he was elementary school in Sweetwater, AL. Molian united in holy matrimony to the late Eva Mae Lockett Dixon. They continued their life in Mobile, AL where they lived for many years. He worked in construction and also held several other jobs. He later relocated to Kalamazoo in 1965, where he worked at Precast for a number of years. Molian decided to pursue other options of employment so he went to work for Peter Eckrich and Son’s for 27 years until retirement. He was a man who loved to work so he came out of retirement and took a job at Fort James, where he worked for 40 years until he finally retired. All he knew was work and he enjoyed it very much. After he retired, he would sit under his favorite tree to socialize with family and friends. He loved sitting under the tree especially with his children and grandchildren as often as he could. He would welcome anyone when they came to visit to spend time with him under this tree. Mr. Dixon was loved by everyone who knew him and will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by the late Eva Mae Lockett Dixon; one daughter Lois Dixon Stacy; 3 granddaughters, Renarda Jasmin and Cassandra Dixon; 2 grandsons, Timon J. Dixon and Marlon L. Morgan. He leaves to cherish his life, 2 daughters, Christine Burnett and Emma Dixon; 1 son, Roosevelt Dixon and 1 son-in-law, Eugene Stacy; 13 grandchildren, Renee Morgan, Molian L. Dixon, Jr., Moses Alonzo Dixon, Sharon D. Burnett, Ivan Boyd, Reynardo Dixon, Eva M. Dixon, Marquita Dixon, Francesca Dixon, Christopher Dixon, Shawnte Blackamore, Jameika Dixon and De’Shaun Dixon; 15 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Roy Dixon of New Jersey; James (Anna) Pope of Sweetwater, AL; 1 sister, Grace Evan Pope (brother-in-law, the late John); sister-in-law, Fleetie Mae Kennedy (the late Silas); sister and brother-in-law, Leonard and Mary Lockett; the late Tommie and Carrie Bell Lockett; brother and sister-in-law, Floyd and Lois Brashers; Wilma Stewart (and the late Walter); (the late Betty Jones), Stratmon and Claudia Jones; the late Arthur Lockett; Morris and Patricia Agee of Dixon, AL and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
