Mr. Glenn (Scott) Williams

Mr. Glenn (Scott) Williams passed away from respiratory failure due to liver disease on Tuesday, April 7, 2009. He was born April 25, 1954 to Albert Scott and Emma Jean Williams, in Kalamazoo, MI. Glenn attended Kalamazoo Public Schools and the last one being Kalamazoo Central High. Glenn has been a hard worker and loved cars all of his life. At 19 years of age, he was working at Brown Company full-time and driving a new triple white convertible Chevy SS. Glenn has held various positions with the City of Kalamazoo also. He has worked in the Parks and Recreation Department and drove for Metro Transit until he was disabled. Glenn loves the Lord and his family. In 1992 he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Saviour and did not turn back. As a teen and adult, he played the keyboard in a band and that gave him much joy. He is preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Emma Jean Scott, and one sister, Sarah Ranae Scott. He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Alverna LaVern Williams; 2 son:, Milus Rufus Hardwick, III and Glenn Mashon Williams; 2 daughters: Marlena LaVern and Alverna Janene Hardwick; 5 brothers: Roger (Cassandra), Billy, Johnny (Antoinette), Lenny (Kimberlee) and Malcolm Williams; 2 sisters: Victoria Singleton and Victoria Williams; 6 uncles: Willie (Florence) Scott, John (Mossey) Dixison, Ezra (Mildred) Williams, James B. Jones, all of Kalamazoo, MI; Rev. James (Regina) Williams, of Maywood, IL and Ernest (Patricia) Scott, of Estero, FL; 9 aunts, Susie Dixison, Francis Scott, Elaine Tyler, Gladys Jones, and Thelma Shotwell, all of Kalamazoo, MI; Verna Jefferson, Gladys Lewis, Willie Mae Jones, and Bessie McCowan, all of California; Father-in-law, Robert Stewart; 2 brothers-in-law: George and Percy Henry; 5 sisters-in-law: Evelyn Warr, Lenora Burnett, and Donna Hoskins all of Kalamazoo, MI; Wanda Kay (Ira) Fuller of Cedar Hill, TX and Juanita (Terry) Smith of Lewisville, AR; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
